Giving stock instead of cash can have many benefits for you. Most importantly, you avoid the capital gains tax you normally would pay. Plus, you earn a standard deduction

How to Give Stock:

  1. Create an Intent Letter; click here to make a customized letter the easy way
  2. Print the Letter; print three copies of the letter (one for your records)
  3. Send the Letter
    1. Mail or fax a copy to your banker / broker
    2. Mail (2400 Perimeter Park Dr., Ste. 150, Morrisville, NC 27560) or fax (460-9019) the other copy to United Way of the Greater Triangle.
  4. Inform United Way of the Greater Triangle; inform us that your stock gift is coming by calling 919-463-5019 or Email Jim Green.
