Alexis BestAALI Announces Ms. Alexis Best

Winner of the 2009 AALI Youth Essay Contest. Congratulations are in order for Ms. Alexis Best, a senior at Southeast Raleigh High School who was selected as this year’s winner of the AALI Youth Essay Contest.

Alexis currently holds a leadership position in the Black Achievers Program at the Garner Road YMCA, and is a grounded, well-rounded leader, community volunteer and honor student.

Alexis wowed the judges with her insight and thought-provoking response to the essay question, “What is the relationship between freedom and responsibility?”

For her efforts Alexis received a new HP Mini Netbook, a $50 Savings Bond and a Target Gift Card.
