2008 Live United Campaign Kickoff

Please select one tour from the following:

Durham County-Tuesday, Sept. 9
• Meet a couple in their early 30’s who are experiencing marital   problems that are causing  despair and abuse.
  9 – 11 a.m. - Board bus at 8:45 a.m. / Depart promptly at 9 a.m.

• Meet a young father in his late 20’s raising his 2-year-old and 7-year-old   sons after their mother decided that she no longer could keep them.
  1 - 3 p.m. - Board bus at 12:45 p.m. / Depart promptly at 1 p.m.


Orange County-Wednesday, Sept. 10
• Meet a family facing a tug of war between caring for an aging parent and   helping their child with special needs.
  9 – 11 a.m. - Board bus at 8:45 a.m. / Depart promptly at 9 a.m.

• Meet a young man who hit rock bottom but is on the road to recovery.
  1 – 3 p.m. - Board bus at 12:45 p.m. / Depart promptly at 1 p.m.


Wake County-Thursday, Sept. 11
• Meet a single mother of two whose job layoff was just the beginning of a   downward spiral.
  9 – 11 a.m. - Board bus at 8:45 a.m. / Depart promptly at 9 a.m.

• Meet a single woman recently diagnosed as schizophrenic who   endured difficulties being homeless off and on for many years.
  1 - 3 p.m. - Board bus at 12:45 p.m. / Depart promptly at 1 p.m.

• Meet a man whose life turned out very differently thanks to people who   cared about him during his youth.
  1 – 3 p.m. - Board bus at 12:45 p.m. / Depart promptly at 1 p.m.



After you register you will receive a confirmation email with details confirming your tour, where to meet your bus, a map and directions. Air-Conditioned buses will depart from central county locations where safe parking will be provided. At the end of the tour, the bus will take you back to your car.
