Jeff is a strategic nonprofit leader with over a decade of experience advancing equity through philanthropy, public-private partnerships, and community-led solutions. As chief program officer, he stewarded more than $35 million in investments since the pandemic, leading initiatives such as the Action Labs and Future of Work to drive systemic change across the region. And as acting president & CEO, he employs his expertise and experience to steer the organization with thoughtfulness and resolve. Known for building trust, fostering collaboration, and aligning cross-sector partners, Jeff centers community voice in every aspect of his work. His leadership has helped transform UWGT\u2019s approach to grantmaking, evaluation, and regional strategy\u2014earning high marks in empowerment, responsiveness, and impact.<\/p>\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 me atrajo de UWGT?<\/b><\/p>\n

Cuando conoc\u00ed a UWGT, dirig\u00eda SEEDS, una organizaci\u00f3n de base en el centro de Durham. Me acerqu\u00e9 a UWGT con una propuesta para apoyar una transici\u00f3n de liderazgo que reflejara mejor la comunidad a la que serv\u00edamos. Las conversaciones dejaron una impresi\u00f3n duradera, destacando el compromiso de UWGT con la filantrop\u00eda basada en la confianza, la voz de la comunidad y la equidad. Esa primera experiencia me hizo creer en lo que pod\u00eda ser la filantrop\u00eda: una fuerza de cambio sist\u00e9mico basada en la colaboraci\u00f3n, no en el poder. Hoy aporto esa visi\u00f3n a mi trabajo en UWGT, asegur\u00e1ndome de que nuestras pr\u00e1cticas institucionales se centran en las peque\u00f1as organizaciones sin \u00e1nimo de lucro arraigadas en la comunidad, como la que una vez dirig\u00ed, y las elevan.<\/p>\n
