Virtual Learning Unwrapped: How Education-Focused Nonprofits are Preparing to Support Virtual Learners

COVID-19 has changed everything – including how our next generation of leaders access the education they need to succeed. Schools are learning to adapt to virtual platforms while students (and their families) are learning how to dedicate time to learning amidst the chaos that comes with quarantine.

That transition will be easier for students privileged to have their own room, regular access to internet, and a reliable internet source. But for students from low-income families where those luxuries are limited or non-existent, it becomes another barrier to social mobility.

Join United Way of the Greater Triangle for this Unwrapped panel, featuring Triangle nonprofit leaders diving deep into how they’re preparing to support students who need help now more than ever:

  1. Pastor Kirby Jones – Executive Director, The Daniel Center for Math and Science
  2. Camille Wilson – Director of College Readiness, The Emily K Center

This event is free but space is limited. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis. For any questions, contact Allyson Cobb at acobb@dev-unitedwaystaging.pantheonsite.io.
