Cassidy Christy is committed to fostering community, cultivating relationships, and amplifying the impact of causes that matter. As Donor Relations Manager, she brings extensive experience in fundraising, stewardship, donor relations, and event management from her work in collegiate athletics. Cassidy’s expertise in relationship building, creative campaign and content creation, and project management enables her to bring people together to support causes they care about, fostering a sense of belonging and shared purpose. Her work is driven by a desire to create meaningful connections and make a lasting impact on others’ lives.
Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, Cassidy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management and Strategic Communications from the University of Minnesota. Early in her career, she discovered a passion for engaging with people from various backgrounds and creating experiences that make a difference. She has led successful initiatives, including Give Day, a 24-hour giving campaign that raised over $365,000; the Cherry and Silver Gala, which raised $1.4 million under her leadership; and numerous golf tournaments generating over $250,000 in support. Cassidy has also provided stewardship for donors contributing anywhere from $50 to $1M annually, consistently building trust and long-term partnerships.
Outside of work, Cassidy enjoys baking, painting, and exercising, sharing these passions with friends and family while using them as creative outlets. She loves immersing herself in her community by exploring and appreciating local restaurants, art, music, and culture, to connect with the people and places that make it unique.

Cassidy was drawn to joining United Way Greater Triangle because she could see and feel the team’s genuine care and investment in the mission they advance. From her very first conversations, the organization’s values and commitment to making a difference were clear. She found the environment refreshing, inviting, and inspiring, and knew she wanted to be a part of the important work they were doing. The team’s shared passion for their work and for the people they serve resonated deeply with her. Cassidy looks forward to contributing her perspective and skills in new and exciting ways, helping to expand the organization’s reach and strengthen connections within the community. She is excited to see the tangible impact her work can have on the lives of people across the greater Triangle area.
